Absentees

1. Discussion of the issue

Through the last few weeks two members of the group have been absent for the majority of the lessons and have had little input into any decisions or documents.

2. What type of issue was it (Straight forward day to day/Complex day to day issue)

This was a very complex issue as it carried on day to day for several weeks.

3. Discuss how you have dealt with issues and problems

This issue meant that when performing our group meetings we had one person missing, this resulted in one group member having no input into the meeting and they could not get their feelings across about any business in the meeting.

4. How did my contribution affect others and vice versa

This affected both me and one other group member the most, this is because it meant that it was mainly the two of us making all of the important decisions and completing the group tasks by ourselves.

5. Discuss whether it was a Long/Short term issue and what will be done about this

At first this was a short term issue as we believed it was only a one off. However, this has now become a long term issue as it has carried on for several weeks and the situation is not improving.

Water pipe problem

1. Discussion of the issue

A major issue that me and my group encountered was that a water pipe inside of college had burst.

2. What type of issue was it (Straight forward day to day/Complex day to day issue)

This was a complex issue which was so severe that it resulted in the college being shut for a day. This meant that we missed another lesson and also missed our scheduled group meeting. this resulted in my group becoming another day behind and having to struggle to get back on track with the work.

3. Discuss how you have dealt with issues and problems

To deal with this issue the group had to discuss what we had missed and then try our hardest to catch up with the missed work. This was a difficult task as we had already missed 4 days work due to the effects of heavy snowfall.

4. How did my contribution affect others and vice versa

N/A

5. Discuss whether it was a Long/Short term issue and what will be done about this

This was a short term issue. to combat this issue I produced a list of all that I had missed whilst the college had closed and started working on catching up by completing the individual tasks set for the day that we was absent.

2.What type of issue was it (Straight forward day to day/Complex day to day issue)

This was a very complex issue as it lasted for several days and resulted in the postponement of any group work taking place.

3. Discuss how you have dealt with issues and problems

This issue was out of my hands and something that i could not change myself. This cause many problems because it meant that 4 whole days of work was missed,t his meant that my group fell behind and lots of hard work was required to catch up to get back on track.

4. How did my contribution affect others and vice versa

N/A

5. Discuss whether it was a Long/Short term issue and what will be done about this

This was a long term issue. this is because the college was closed for 4 whole days, one of these days was also included a 2 hour ICT lesson, this meant that i lost lots of class time and missed lots of tasks. To combat this issue i will have to set lots of time aside outside of college to complete this missed tasks.
